My wife Sheryl and I were first time home buyers, and after a disappointing experience with the first realtor we tried, it became very important for us to find someone who we could genuinely trust and rely upon.

My wife and I ended up putting an offer in on a house before we had a buyer for our condo, and although we were lucky enough to have our offer accepted, we ended up in a very complicated, contingency-laden deal, and a dramatically shortened timeline in which we needed to sell our place. On top of this, we had a sizable deposit on the line, so the pressure to perform was high.
Thankfully, we had Amanda and her team, co-agent Rob Gerard, and assistant Valerie Spaziani, helping us on both the buying and the selling side, because they were able to quickly find us a buyer at a price that we could work with, and deftly navigate us through the twists and turns of a tricky, concurrent escrow situation where everything had to happen at specific times, and within a very narrow window. And all of this was over the holidays.
There was a fair amount of nerves on our side throughout the whole process, but Amanda always made herself available for explanations, advice, and reassurance. She would give her opinion when asked, but also made it very clear that we were in charge, and that she was there to work for us. As first time buyers, she made us feel empowered, and earned our sincere trust that she would look out for our best interests.
There were more bumps in the road before we finally closed escrow, but each one was handled with creativity and professionalism. We ended up being her first deal of 2017, but I’m sure there will be many, many more.
